Mary Matazinski, of Weirton, our beloved Mother and Grandmother, died on Saturday, July 28, 2001, at the Weirton Medical Center at the age of 89.

She was born on March 25, 1912, in Colliers, WV, a daughter of the late Alfred Rocchio and Marianna (Demucci) Rocchio Stabile. She was also preceded in death by her husband of thirty-five years, Thomas, in August of 1969; four brothers: Harry Roach, Perry Roach, Joe Rocchio, and Eugene Stabile; and three sisters: Julia Frattini, Rose Lanes, and Theresa Paganelli.

Mary was a homemaker, a mother, a grandmother, and a friend to all who knew her. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Weirton.

Mary is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Joann) Stewart, and Mrs. Frank D.(Dolores) DeCaria; four grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey (Diane) Stewart, Brian Stewart, and Domenic F. DeCaria, all of Weirton; and a brother, Alfred Rocchio of Las Vegas, NV.

Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 PM Monday, July 30, at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton. A prayer service will be held 7:30 PM Monday at the funeral home. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held 10 AM Tuesday at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Weirton, followed by burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Follansbee, WV.
