Iola ROSS--Caro--Died Saturday, July 22, 2000 in her home. She was 80. She was born January 19, 1920 in Caro to Russell and Gertie (Avery) Curry. She married Richard L. Ross July 26, 1941 in Akron. He died April 25, 1995. Iola attended County Normal and taught school for several years before having children. She was a member of Kingston United Methodist Church, Naomi Circle, Domino Club, and Knitting Club. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, sewing and gardening. Iola is survived by her children, Jane Ross and husband, John Christiano of Essex Junction, Vt., Judy Ross (Arnold Leesy) of Lexington, Richard Ross of Caro; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; stepsister, Opal Hunter of Mayville; sister-in-law, Emma Ross; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret Curry and Ethel Seddon; brother, John Curry. Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 25 at Kingston United Methodist Church with Rev. Margaret Passenger officiating. Interment was in Indianfields Township Cemetery, Caro. Memorials may be made to the Kingston United Methodist Church or Kingston Scholarship Fund. Kranz Funeral Home of Kingston was in charge of arrangements.
