Born in Dixon's Lane. Kathleen Benson married Bill Ahern Feb 15 1904 in Limerick City. He was a resident of Kansas City. They departed for the USA in Feb 1904 after the wedding, they arrived in NYC and lived in Kansas City, Missouri. They had 7 children born in Kansas City. Kathleen fell ill and was brought home to relatives in Ireland in the late 1940s. Her husband, children, and grandchildren remained in Kansas City. She never left hospital and died on 16th April 1954 in Limerick. Her children were Mae (1905-1997), Kathleen (1906-1982), Lillie (1907-1982), Jane (1909-2000), Patrick (1912-1975), Bridie (1915-1958)and Bill (1919-1982).

Died at Limerick Mental Hospital, home address on death certificate listed as 12 Crescent Avenue (her brother Joseph's address). Cause of death was Cardiac Failure and myocardial degeneration.
