Battalion 11, 3rd Division, FDNY, New York City, lost his life while saving others on Tuesday, September 11, 2001, following the disaster at the World Trade Center. Calling hours are scheduled for Tuesday, October 2, 2001, noon to 3 p.m., at Coloni Funeral Home, Route 9W, New Windsor, New York. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, November 3, 11 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church, Robinson Avenue, Newburgh. Interment will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated to John J. Giordano Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 4097, New Windsor, NY 12553. Arrangements entrusted to Coloni Funeral Home, New Windsor, New York.
