Norma Burris passed away and entered into the loving arms of the Lord on September 24, 2013. Mrs. Burris passed away peacefully at the Ray Hickey Hospice House in Vancouver, WA. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Burris, her parents Albin and Sophie, brother Clarence, and sister Echo. She is survived by her twin brother Norman of Oslo, MN, and sons/daughter/ spouses Paul and Natalie Butler of Vancouver, WA; Mark and Carolyn Burris of Knoxville, TN; Rhen Burris of Olive Branch, MS. and Stu and Renay Burris of Moscow, TN. She and her husband had eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Norma was a charter member of the Collierville Women's Club. Norma and her husband "Jack" were married for 63 years. They had many friends and loved to spend time with them and their families. A Homegoing Memorial Service will be held at the Collierville First Baptist Church in Collierville, TN, on October 11, 2013, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. before the service at the church followed by a private interment for the family that afternoon at the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Memphis, TN. Cascadia Cremation and Burial Services in Vancouver, WA provided the arrangements for the family. The family requests that in lieu of flowers any remembrances be made out to either The Ray Hickey Hospice House, 2112 East Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver, WA 98661 or to The First Baptist Church of Collierville, Collierville, TN 38017 (Published in The Commercial Appeal on October 6, 2013)
