Dolores was the daughter of Edjar and Mary Smoak. Dolores was 70 years old when she passed away. She was noted as a pioneer in Pompano Beach having been born and raised there. She was married to her loving husband on June 15, 1955 for nearly 47 years. She worked for the State of Florida and retired after about 20 years of service. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Pompano Beach and will always be cherished by her family as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, and by many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She is survived by her husband, Charlie L. Thwaites; a daughter Doreen D. Smith; a son Chet C. Thwaites; three grandsons, Christopher, Daniel and Benjamin. I always remember Dolores as a smiling person. I do not remember ever seeing her any other way. She was such a sweet person and loved by so many people. She will be missed for a long long time.
