Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will also be held from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Saturday at Johnson Funeral Service.
Violet Senum was born on July 27, 1920, daughter of George and Jennie (Holmstrom) Senum. She attended country school, and grew up in Silverton Twp., working at the Avalon Hotel.
In 1945, she was united in marriage to Stanley Ranum. They made their home in the Warren, Thief River Falls, and Plummer, MN area.
Violet enjoyed talking about old times and visiting with family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stanley; sons, Virgil and Roger; four brothers, Lawrence, Earl, Wilfred and Edward; and two half-sisters, Caroline and Laura.
