"The traffic death toll for Denver and vicinity was increased to seventy-seven Monday afternoon when Mrs. Edna Reininger, 49, of 1241 Lincoln street, died in the Denver General Hospital of a fractured spine, shock, and internal injuries suffered Wednesday in an automobile accident at East Thirteenth avenue and Grant street. Mrs. Reininger, according to police, was struck by an automobile driven by Floyd L. Green, 20, of Arvada, while on the way home from a store nearby. Green was charged with having taken the right-of-way from a pedestrian. Deputy Coroner Gus Economy and Captain of Detectives James E. Childers will investigate the accident further at a hearing in the latter’s office Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Reininger, the widow of Morris Reininger, a South Denver Drug store owner, had lived in Denver more than twenty-five years. She is survived by four children."
