Mr and Mrs Stephen L Kaffer of El Paso, TX announce the engagement of their daughter, Margaret Elizabeth, to Robert Montgomery Reininger of San Juancito, Honduras. The romance of the couple started last summer (1939) when Miss Kaffer was in San Jacinto visiting her father, who is the chief engineer of the Rosario Mining Company. The bride-elect, who was reared and educated in El Paso, was graduated from Austin high school and received her degree at the College of Mines in 1938. She was first president of Theta Psi Chapter of Delta Delta Delta sorority, and was prominent in college activities being a member of the Student Government and Gold Diggers. Mr Reininger, formerly of Denver, CO., is the son of the late Mr and Mrs M.A. Reininger, of Denver, CO., and brother of Mrs J.G. Morehouse and brother of Marius D. Reininger, of Denver, and Lee W. Reininger, of San Diego. Mr. Reininger is cashier of the Rosario Mining Company in San Juancito, where the couple will make their home. Miss Kaffer will sail from New Orleans May 8 aboard the S.S. Sixaola and will be met in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, by her father and Mr. Reininger. The ceremony will take place in Tegucigalpa.
