Christian Peterson was born in Denmark. He immigrated to America in 1885 and first settled in Pennsylvania where he met and married Elizabeth Deacon.
They were married at All Saint Episcopal Church in Philadelphia on October 20, 1866.
Immediately afterwards they moved to Wilmington Delaware.
Christian worked as a gardener and later as the sexton of a church. After he went to work for the PW&B railroad (Philadelphia, Wilmington and Baltimore), Elizabeth took over his duties as sexton.
Christian died on 31 Oct 1885 of consumption.
Christian and Elizabeth were the parents of Isaac, Mary Jane, Sarah and Elizabeth (Bessie).
