Anita was the second wife of Donald Mathews, she was born in Hennepin County at Minneapolis Maternity Hospital on February 26, 1924. Her parents were Ed. Jondreau and Anna Vancura Jondreau. By 1930, she was living with her mother and grandmother in Minneapolis at 118 Oak Grove. Her grandmother died in 1934 and her mother moved with Anita to 3844 Nicollet Avenue. She married Don in Minneapolis on February 15, 1951 and they lived in Storm Lake, Iowa in the early 1950's. Don was a salesman and retail store manager. Later, they moved back to Minnesota. During the 50s, they had several children while living in outstate Minnesota. They settled in Sauk Centre, Minnesota, where Don died in 1986. Anita died at her home at 508 East Street in Sauk Centre on June 3, 1987. She is buried with Don in Calvary Cemetery in Sauk Centre.
