Dorothy (Metzler) McCague, 82, of Ottawa, died on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Pleasant View.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa. Burial will follow at Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Dorothy was born on July 31, 1932, in Ottawa to Howard and Pearl (Guyaux) Metzler.
She married Thomas McCague on March 10, 1952 in Ellicott City, Maryland. Dorothy worked as a nurses aid at Ottawa General Hospital from 1961-1984. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband Thomas, 4 children, Thomas O. (Brenda) McCague, Jr., of Ottawa, Lorraine (Mike) Martin, of Marion, IL Timothy (Abby) McCague, of Ottawa and Jeffrey McCague, of Homer Glen, 9 grandchildren; Brenda McCague, Kimberly Deck, Thomas (Jennifer) McCague III, Shaun (Belinda) McCague, Anthony (Amy Lynn) Summers, Brittany Summers, Josh Comer and Joseph McCague, 20 great grandchildren and a sister Margaret (Glenn) Wiley, of Lisle, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Joan Thompson.
The pallbearers will be the grandchildren.
