Major League Baseball Player. The right-hander pitched for five years with the Milwaukee Braves from 1956 to 1959 and the Kansas City Athletics in 1960. With the Braves loaded in pitching with the likes of Warren Spahn, Lew Burdette, Bob Buhl, Juan Pizarro, Joey Jay and others, he didn't get much opportunity with them. His best season was 1957, when he was 7-5 with a 3.64 earned run average, 126 innings pitched, three complete games in 16 starts and his only shutout. He made one appearance in the 1957 World Series against New York, going one inning and giving up five runs in the Yankees' 12-5 blowout in Game 3. The Braves prevailed in seven games. He was sold to the A's on Oct. 12, 1959 and was 1-3 for them in 1960. His lifetime totals were 13-13 with a 3.95 ERA.
