Ragna Haroldson, 88, died on Thursday, May 08, 2008 at Oakland Park Communities in Thief River Falls, MN.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Monday, May 12, 2008, at Zion Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Moose River Cemetery, Gatzke, MN.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 6-8 PM at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Monday.

Ragna Aune was born on November 25, 1919 to Ole and Eli (Moslet) Aune in Moose River Township, Marshall County, MN, rural Gatzke, MN. She was baptized as a child and confirmed as an adult in 1959 with several other adults who took confirmation. She attended ‘the old tin school house" country school in rural Gatzke. She worked for a few years before her marriage at the Rex Café in Middle River, MN.

Ragna was united in marriage to Ingvald Anderson on June 20, 1942. They made their home near Gatzke for many years. Ragna worked as a bookkeeper and clerk at the creamery in Gatzke. She was a strong woman who lifted feed sacks and cream cans. She worked at the creamery until it closed in the early 1970's. They moved from their farm in 1976 and bought a hobby farm outside of Middle River. Ragna cooked at the Middle River School for a few years. Ingvald died in 1985 and Ragna continued to live in Middle River until 1987. Ragna moved to Thief River Falls until 1992.

Ragna was united in marriage to Myron Haroldson on August 22, 1992 at Zion Lutheran Church. They lived on Sandy Shores near Williams, MN for about 3 years and then moved to Thief River Falls.

Ragna enjoyed deer hunting and got a deer every year. She was an avid snowmobiler and fisherwoman. She also had fun dancing, playing cards, and gardening. She had a passion for the field work and living on the farm. She was proud of her Norwegian heritage and made several trips to Norway.

She was a member of United Lutheran Church in Gatzke and active in the ladies aid for many years and in her recent years she was a member at Zion Lutheran in Thief River Falls, MN. She was active in the Senior Citizens Organization in Middle River and Thief River Falls.

Ragna is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Ken) Wagner, Thief River Falls, MN, Karen (Leon) Johnson, Thief River Falls, MN, six grandchildren Lisa (Marty) Johnson, Thief River Falls, MN, Lana (Scott) Crawford, Forest Lake, MN, Lora (Jason) Rantanen, Thief River Falls, MN, Paul Johnson, Thief River Falls, MN, Kim Johnson, Minnetonka, MN, Keith Johnson, Thief River Falls, MN, six great grandchildren, Ethan and Erin Johnson, Mariah and Megan Crawford, Kendal and Lucas Rantanen, two step children, Merlyn (Betty) Haroldson, Wausau, WI, Clair (Chris) Haroldson, Sun Prairie, WI, three step grandchildren, Brandon, Todd, Kyle Haroldson, and two step great grandchildren, one brother Peter Aune, Karlstad, MN, two sisters Emma Anderson, Middle River, MN, Evelyn (LeRoy) Davidson, Moorhead, MN,.

Ragna was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Ingvald Anderson in 1985, son Sheldon Anderson in 1957, her second husband Myron in 2007, sister Petra Larson.
