Mrs. Tillie Schanding McNees, aged 69 years, peacefully departed this life at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Covington, on Thursday morning, Dec. 22, 1955, after several weeks of serious illness. She is survived by one brother, Mike Schanding of the Broadford Road, besides several nieces and nephews. Her husband, Robert McNees, preceded her in death a number of years ago. Mrs. McNees spent her entire life in Pendleton County and was well known and highly esteemed. She was a devoted member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and active in all church work. Requiem high mass was sung by Rev. Henry Busemeyer from St. Xavier Church on Saturday, Dec. 24, at 9:30 A.M., with interment taking place at St. Xavier Cemetery. John A. Woodhead and Son were in charge of arrangements. Pall bearers were James Scheitz, Robert Malloy, George Schanding, Howard Snodgrass, Frank Kern, Sr., and George Schanding of Cynthiana.
