The son of the late Samuel and Cynthia Rule Turner, he was born in
this county October 22, 1872, and had lived at Sitka most of his
life.
His wife, Rose Boyd Turner, preceded him in death June 1957.
Survivors include one son, Carl Turner, Flatwoods; six daughters,
Mrs. Cecil Williams, Flatwoods; Mrs. Ernest Persinger, and Mrs. Steve
Branham, both of Sitka; Mrs. Verlin Daniel, Lowmansville; Mrs. Jack
Castle, Sitka; Mrs. Jack Stapleton, Lexington.
Funeral services were conducted from the home at 2:00 p.m., Saturday,
September 12, with Rev. S. C. Honeycutt officiating. Music was by
the Toms Creek Quartet.
Burial was in the family cemetery at Sitka.
