Sarepta's parents left Ohio between 1837-1840. The last of Sarepta's siblings to be born in Ohio was Sarah (1837). The first to be born in Iowa was William (1840). Their father was a farmer in Iowa and appeared to do well given the increased values in the censuses.

Next door was Sarepta's brother, Joseph (25), wife Harriet (19) and their baby son Aretus N. (10/12).

On 16 August 1870 James Peck (46), wife Serepta (25) daughter Emma (3/12), other members of the Crane and Peck families; William Crane (30), William Peck (14), Charles Peck (8) Nathaniel Peck (55), James Peck (36), Elias Peck (52) and Eliza Crane (19) lived in Edgington P.O. district and township, Rock Island County, Illinois. This census incorrectly says Serepta was born in Illinois. William and Eliza Crane were her siblings. William and Charles Peck were her step-sons.

On 7 June 1880 James Peck (56), wife (Sarepta) (35), children; William F. (24), Chas. H. (18), Emma (10) and boarder Wm. (N.) Peck (72) lived in Wapsinonoc, Muscatine County, Iowa. James was a farmer. William and Chas. were a farm hands. Wm. Peck was a retired bookkeeper. NOTE: Her name is misspelled on original image and indexed as Sophia. Sarepta's birth year - 1845.

In 1885 James Peck (60), wife Sarepta (39) William (28), Charles (23), Emma (14) and William Peck (76) resided in Township 78, Range 4, Section 35, NW/NE in Wapsinonoc, Muscatine County, Iowa.

NOTE: There's no birthplace given for Sarepta.

James died on 30 July 1885 at West Liberty, Muscatine County, Iowa. Shortly afterwards Sarepta's blended family moved to Washington state.

Her step-son, Charles died on 23 April 1888 in Seattle, Washington Territory. He was buried in West Liberty with his father.

On 14 June 1900 William F. Peck (43), widowed mother-in-law, Sarepta (55), ?? a cousin of William's (55) and wife Jennie M. (54) lived in Houghton precinct, King County, Washington. Sarepta's birth date and place given is May 1845, Iowa. This is consistant with her age in other censuses, especially the 1850 census enumerated in September, when she is 5 years old.

NOTE: Sarepta's birth year - 1845.

By 19-26 April 1910 Robert Northup (38), wife Emma (39) children; Alberto (13), Loretta (11), Ruth (6), Wilma (4) and Sarepta Peck, (64) had moved to Moclips precinct, Chehalis County, Washington. Sarepta's birthplace listed as Iowa. Her first name may look as though it has an "f" in this census, but it's actually an old fashioned way of writing a "p".

NOTE: Sarepta would be 65 in May - born 1845.

On 18 January 1920 R.J. Northup (48), Emma C.(49), children; Alberto L. (23), Ruth (16), Wilma (13) and Serepta Peck (74) moved once again to Hoquiam, Grays Harbor County, Washington.

NOTE: Sarepta would be 75 in May - born 1845.
