Kathy was born in Iowa City on January 12th, 1947 to William and Donna Bogs. She attended school in Iowa City and graduated from City High. She married Jerry L. Bartachek on November 6, 1965 at Zion Lutheran Church. She lived with her parents in Iowa City with her first born son, Jerry Jr, while her husband served in the Navy in Viet Nam. They lived in Iowa City until about 18 months prior to her death where they moved to Marengo, IA. Kathy passed from a sudden illness. She was survived by her husband, two sons, Jerry Jr and William Joseph; her parents of Iowa City; three brothers, William of Clinton, IA, Robert and David of Iowa City; and three sisters Patty, Donna Marie and Wendy all of Iowa City.
Kathy was a devoted mother, a loving daughter and sister.
