Hector Anninos passed away peacefully on November 26 at the age of 93. He was born on October 2, 1922, in San Francisco. He graduated from Mission High School in San Francisco in 1940. He served three years in the U.S. Army Corps during World War II, mostly in the South Pacific, then in the Philippines. His service ended in Tokyo when Japan surrendered. He graduated from the University of San Francisco School of Law, passed the State Bar of California, and became an attorney at law. He served for 30 years as attorney for the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission where a highlight of his career was to represent the PUC before the Supreme Court. After retirement he moved from San Francisco to his longtime residence in San Mateo. He is survived by seven nieces and nephews and nine great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the Greek Orthodox Memorial Park cemetery in Colma.
