RALPH DAMRON, SR., 79, of Dunlow, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 9, 2016. He was born March 28, 1936 at Dunlow, a son of the late Lon and Mary Wallace Lovins Damron. Also preceding him in death were eight sisters: Eva, Nellie, Nora belle, Hazel, Etta may, Virginia, Mary, and Leona; and six brothers: Glen, John, Roy, Noah, Dave, and Kurt.

Ralph was a member of the Echo United Baptist Church of Wayne, the Laborers Local Union 543 of Huntington, the Jewel Lodge #140 A.F. & A.M., and the Order of Eastern Star 160 Crum Chapter.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Dora Beckett Damron; five children, Teresa (Larry) Copley of Wayne, Ralph Jr. (Mary) Damron of Genoa, W.Va., Donna (Kenny) Blevins of Wayne, Timmy (Carol) Damron of Genoa, and Teri Beth Damron of Dunlow, W.Va.; six grandchildren, Michael (April) Copley of Wayne, Matthew (Courtney) Copley, also of Wayne, Jacob Damron of Genoa, Erica (Seth) Damron of Wayne, Kent Blevins (Amber Bowen) of East Lynn, W.Va., and Shelly Damron of Genoa; and five great grandchildren, Ayden, Kylee, Daniel, Avah, and Jenah.

Also surviving is one brother, Paul (Janet) Damron of Ohio; special family Orlean Maynard, Charlie Boy Stewart, and Janice Damron; and a host of friends and family too numerous to mention.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2016 at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Elders Roger Maynard and Tommy Damron officiating. Burial will follow in the Sam Damron Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
