Mary (Maria) was born July 25, 1885 in Hangacs, Hungary. She was the daughter of Samuel and Mary Szafka Juriasz. Although death certificate says she was born in 1887, all other records(petition for naturalization, Hungarian marriage and census data) support the year 1885. She married Joseph (Jozsef) Drotos on Sept. 26, 1904 in Hungary. They immigrated to the U.S. on April 3, 1905 on the ship Breslau to the port of Baltimore, Maryland. First they lived in WV, then moved to Cleveland, Ohio.
