Abigail was not mentioned in her father's will (written 19 Apr 1670), nor in the codicil (written Sep 1676), which name his other children. Her death may have been misrecorded as "Mary, b[urie]d 7 May 1651", and picked up by Barbour and others as 1781 (and originally entered here). Her sister Mary was mentioned in the 1670 will, but died Oct 1670, so she is the reason for the 1676 codicil, which mentions the original 5 surviving children as now being only 4, naming (only) the same two sons as before.

Inscription
Although this person was likely interred in Guilford's original village cemetery (now the commons and public park in downtown Guilford), no surviving gravestone was known in 1818 when all gravestones at the Village Green, but not the people's remains, were dispersed to other town cemeteries.
