Barberton - John W. Everhart, 77, of Wadsworth, died at 4:48 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 1989, at St. Thomas Medical Center at Akron.
He was born Dec. 14, 1911, in Coshocton, the son of the late Lloyd and Minnie Stroup Everhart.
He had been employed at the General Wadsworth Brick Yard for 27 years as plant superintendent, retiring 10 years ago. He was a member of the Barberton FIrst Church of the Nazarene.
He married the former Irene Huprich in 1932. She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Theodore (JoAnn) McQueen of Thomasville, N.C.; a sister, Mrs. Lucy Rice of Baltic; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
A son and three sisters preceded him in death.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday in the Hahn Funeral Home Inc. of Barberton where the Rev. Richard O. Smith and the Rev. William Mead will officiate. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery at West Lafayette.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Barberton funeral home. Contributions may be made in memory to the Barberton First Church of the Nazarene.
