April 11, 1928 - August 31, 2016 Oscar Seals age 88, husband of the late Jewel Ward Seals, died Wednesday Aug. 31, 2016. Oscar was born in Rockcastle County to the late Willie and Ida Chasteen Seals; he was a charter member of the Middletown Baptist Church and had been a painter for many years here in Berea. Oscar was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jewel, his daughter Connie Gail Seals, and his siblings: Bluford, Ernest, Monroe Seals, and Oneida Rhodus.
Oscar is survived by his children: Roger (June) Seals, James Keith Seals, and William Oscar Seals, his siblings: Lorraine Lake, Preston Seals, Maymie Brumfield, and Molly Todd, and 5 grandchildren: Chris Seals, Brian Seals, Jenny Seals, Bridget Seals and Brandy Dunn, and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 12 noon Tuesday Sept. 6, 2016 at the Middletown Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Miller officiating, burial will be in the Madison County Memorial Garden
