Kelly (born Mary Eileen), of Manhattan, NY passed on Sunday September 4, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Jersey City, NJ.
Kelly grew up in Cliffside Park, Union City and Ridgefield Park. She graduated from Ridgefield Park HS in 1956. Ms. Benson was employed at The Epilepsy Foundation Metropolitan NY for 14 years. She was a lifelong fan of Elvis Presley. She enjoyed sharing stories of family and history.
Kelly is survived by her longtime partner, Rose Perez. Devoted sister to seven brothers and one sister, James Benson of Fayetteville, GA, Lawrence Lepore and his wife Christine of Pompton Lakes, NJ and Vincent Lepore and his wife Ida of The Villages, FL. Beloved aunt of numerous nieces and nephews and companion to her many friends. She was predeceased by siblings, George, Thomas, David, Robert and Patricia (Ciceri) Benson.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made toward The Epilepsy Foundation Metropolitan NY (http://www.efmny.org/) in her name. There will be a private service at later date.
