Adela Tamayo Cross, 89, of Brownsville, entered into eternal rest at Valley Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, September 21, 2010. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Mrs. Cross was preceded in death by her husband Gonzalo Cross in 1995 by a son, Armando Cross in 1974 and by a grandson, Johnny Cross in 1999 and other relatives.

Left to eternally treasure her memory are her sons, Miguel Leal Maria and Juan Tamayo Cross Angie, both of Salinas, CA and Gonzalo Cross, Jr. Lucila of Brownsville her daughter Yolanda Cross Gomez of Brownsville 13 grandchildren, 23 greatgrandchildren, 4 greatgreatgrandchildren a sister, Chepa Gracia of El Paso, TX her brothers, Lupe Tamayo of Brownsville, Charlie Tamayo of Dos Palos, CA, Sabas Rocha of Oxnard, California and Pablo Rocha of Arlington, VA.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2010 in the East Chapel of DarlingMouser Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2010 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1200 Lincoln St., Brownsville, TX. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Friday.

Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.

Honored to be serving as pallbearers are Eleuterio Gallardo, Enrique Briones, Jr., Arnold Espinoza, Jaime Espinoza, Abel Zepeda and Eleno Flores.
