Husband of Eliza Shannon Cochran. Son of Marion and Jennie "Jenny" Cochran. Henry worked for his father Marion Hose Cochran in Lawrence County, coal mining, small project. Henry went to Logan County West Virginia and worked at Powellton Coal Company above Man High School, Rock House Hollow and lived in Taplin, and Man. Wife Eliza lived in Taplin while he worked at mines and later Eliza went back to the old Shannon home place and husband Henry rented a apartment in Man to return to Lawrence County, KY. on weekends. Also Henry and Eliza lived at Whitman, Logan County, West Virginia. It was told that Henry when he retired had one foot on a banana peeling and on in the grave. Henry retired and moved back to Lawrence County Ky with wife Eliza on the Cochran home place, after death of his father Marion Hose Cochran moved from the the Cochran home place to Louisa Ky, where both lived to their deaths, Eliza first and Henry second. Henry was a knife collector and old money, use to hang around the Lawrence County Court House on weekends trading knifes and purchasing old money. Had a knife collection of great value, and gallon jars of old money that after death was lost, plus guns, its hard to figure but this author of this has a clue????
