RECENT DEATHS
MATHIS – Funeral services for Mrs. Alby Mathis, 73, well known Enid resident, will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Christian church at Lamont.
Mrs. Mathis died Wednesday morning at the home of her son, Harry Mathis, of Lamont, with whom she had made her home for several years.
Six sons survive her, Will of Guthrie, Noah T. of Enid, Charles J of Portland, Ore., Harry and Fred of Lamont and Howard of Leavenworth, Kan. She leaves several grandchildren , two brothers, G.N. Evans of Enid, Will Evans of Fort Collins and a sister, Mrs. D. Proctor of Pratt, Kans.
Burial will be in the Enid cemetery beside her husband, Josh Mathis, who died in 1921. A Lamont funeral home is caring for the body.
