The Golden Valley News, Thurs. March 4, 1964, Page 1, Col. 6 - "Mrs. Spiegelberg's Rites Held Feb. 24 - One of the early day residents of Golden Valley County, Mrs. Ferd (Adeline) Spiegelberg of Beach, was accorded rites on Monday, Feb. 24, at 2 p.m., at the congregational Christian Church at Beach, with Rev. David P. Badgley officiating.

"Pallbearers included Clair Ross, Howard Vinquist, Arthur Beier, John Hollstein, Donald Marman, and Marshall Miller, Jr. Interment followed in the Beach Cemetery beside her husband. Mrs. Spiegelberg succumbed on Friday, Feb. 21, of the complications of age, at 4:35 p.m., at the Golden Valley Community Hospital, Beach.

"A private prayer service was conducted by Rev. David P. Badgley for members of the immediate family, at the Johnson Funeral Chapel at 11 a.m., the day of the funeral.

"Surivivng Mrs. Ferd Spiegelberg are her four children: Marie, now Mrs. J. D. Langenes, Elizabeth, Mrs. Omer Nelson, Harry Spiegelberg, Beach, and Margaret, Mrs. Don Brengle of Baker, Mont., one sister, Miss Pat Ketchum of Seattle, Wn.,(sic) 12 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, and many loyal friends.

"Adeline Ketchum Spiegelberg was born July 29, 1885, in Jackson County, Wis., and received her education in Wisconsin schools. [NOTE: Adeline's twin sister was Althera (Alta) Ketchum Statton.] She became the wife of Ferdinand Spiegelberg at Dickinson, in November, 1912.

"During the 55 years she resided here, she was an active member of the community, and a member of the Beach Congregational Christian Church, and also of the Order of Eastern Star, the Past Matrons Club, the Beach Garden club, Beach Woman's Club, and the Social Hour Club...."
