Brocato, Benedict "Ben" age 63, suddenly, March 8, 2007. Adored husband of Maureen (nee DiChristofano), for 41 years who he married on July 31 1965. Devoted father of Joseph (Kathleen), cherished grandfather of Lauren, Ben, Jack and Joseph. A loving son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, cousin and a beloved friend to everyone that knew him, including his beloved pet Hearsay. He was the longest sitting Alderman of the Berwyn City Council, serving the city's 5th Ward with ethical conduct and respect for everyone. His death is a tragic loss. He will be remembered for his selfless devotion to his family, his friends, and his city. He leaves an impressive record of public service and will be sorely missed by the Berwyn community and by the many organizations in which he was an active member. He will remain in the hearts of those whose lives he touched and will be alive in our memories forever. Visitation Tuesday, 5 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, from 3 to 9 p.m., at the Adolf Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Ltd., 2921 S. Harlem Ave., Berwyn. Funeral services on Thursday, beginning with 9:45 a.m. prayers at the funeral home, then proceeding to St. Mary of Celle Church, 1428 S. Wesley Avenue, Berwyn for 10:30 a.m. Mass of the Christian Burial. Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery
