Janet Louise Bloecher, 80, of Dittmer died April 6, 2022, in Sunset Hills. Mrs. Bloecher was a 1959 graduate of St. Charles High School, where she was president of the Elvis Presley Fan Club, and worked as a typist and recorder for Frisco Railroad and a typesetter for the Jefferson County Record Newspaper until 1966, when she became a stay-at-home mother. She had a contagious laugh and a cheerful disposition and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Born May 8, 1941, in St. Charles, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Marie Hazel (Clarke) Maxson. She was preceded in death by her husband: Raymond Bloecher.

She is survived by two children: Rosie Bloecher of Dittmer and David (Greta) Bloecher of Hillsboro; four grandchildren: Dean Bloecher, Cody (Tashia) Bloecher, Ashley (Gerald) Forde and Amanda (Rob) Hill; five great-grandchildren: Abbigale, Talia and Bruce Bloecher and Wilder and Axel Hall; a brother-in-law: Steve French; a nephew: Peter (Donna) Schrankle; a great-niece: Brett Schrankle; two cousins: Becky Maxson Daughtery and Cathie Eaton Maxson; a godson: Dane Horst; many other family members and friends; and her cat: Mumford. She was preceded in death by a sister: Barbara French.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to Open Door Animal Sanctuary, 6065 Duda Road, House Springs, 63051. Arrangements were under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill.
