She was born in Piepenhagen, Kreis Regenwalde, Pommern, Prussia and baptised 26 Oct 1851 at the kirche at Labes, Kreis Regenwalde, Pommern, Prussia now Przyborze, Province Zachodnio-Pomorskie, Poland.

Winneconne (WI) News, Mar. 14, 1935, Page 1: Mrs. Mary Spiegelberg, widow of the late William Spiegelberg, passed away late Wednesday evening at home of her son, Adolph Spiegelberg at Winchester. She was born in the Town of Black Wolf, October 11, 1851, and had lived in this vicinity all of her life.

Survivors include five daughters, six sons and 13 grandchildren. One brother, Ferdinand Luedtke also survives.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the home of son, Adolph, and at 1 o'clock at the Lutheran Church of Readfield, the Rev. Frank Wieland officiating. Burial was in the Readfield Cemetery."
