LEO SMITH
Greer, Dec 7 - The funeral of Leo Smith, 48, who died today at 6:15 am at his residence, Greer, route 1, after an illness of eight days, will be conducted Friday at 2:30 pm, at the Zoar Methodist church.
Mr. Smith, who was a life-long resident of this section, was a son of the late Stokes Smith and Mrs. Isabel Hughes Smith. He was an employee of Victor mill here and was a member of the Zoar Methodist church.
Survivors include his wife, the former Miss Beatrice Robison, of Greer, route 1; one son, Ernest Smith of Greer, route 1; two brothers, J.V. Smith of Spartanburg and W.W. Smith of Duncan.
The Rev. B.H. Tucker and the Rev. D.R. Hill will officiate at the funeral, with burial in the Zoar Methodist church cemetery.
The following brothers-in-law of Mr. Smith will be the active pallbearers: W.T. Robison, L.H. Robison, C.I. Robison, Toy Robison, J.B. Robison and H.B. Robison.
Stewards and other officers of the Zoar Methodist church will be the honorary pallbearers.
Pending the hour of the service, the body will be at the residence.
