Daughter of Henry Job and Martha Jane Lane Foxworth. She was married to Thornton "Thorny" Elton Grice who died at the age of thirty. She never remarried, but raised her four boys on her farm which was in walking distance to the farms of her five brothers.
MARION - Fannie Foxworth Grice, 86, widow of Thorny Elton Grice, died Tuesday in a local hospital.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today in Little Bethel Baptist Church in Marion. Burial, directed by Smith Collins Funeral Home, will be in New Life Cemetery.
Mrs. Grice was born in Marion County, a daughter of Henry Foxworth and Jane Lane Foxworth. She was a member of Little Bethel Baptist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Forrest E. Grice of Mullins, Henry P. Grice and Zack F. Grice, both of Marion; one brother, Marion Foxworth of Marion; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
