Daughter of William Joseph and Mary Frances Rogers Lane, wife of Henry Job Foxworth.

MARION - Mrs. Martha Jane Foxworth, after a brief illness of 16 days, passed away on the 24th day of January 1932, at her home known as the old Foxworth homestead in Marion county. She would have been 65 years old in June.

Mrs. Foxworth was a daughter of Rev. William Lane of Marion county. After her marriage to Mr. Henry J. Foxworth she made her home at the old Foxworth homestead, known as New Life Community where she remained until her death.

After the death of Mr. Henry J. Foxworth on Jan. 15, 1915, Mrs. Foxworth assumed full control of the business duties of the home as well as domestic duties. She held her membership at Reedy Creek Church, and was a faithful worker in the community church known as New Life Church. She did not preach from the pulpit but she influenced many to a higher life by her quiet and close walk with her Master.

Funeral services were conducted at her home Monday afternoon, January 25, by her pastor, Rev. Hood of Reedy Creek, assisted by Rev. M. G. Baker of Marion. Her body was laid to rest beside her husband in the cemetery of New Life Church.
