Solomon was the son of Solomon Kendrick Sr and Fannie Lockhart Kendrick. He was educated in the Peach County School System. He served in the U. S. Army and received his Honorable Discharge. He was a Construction Worker by trade. He was a member of New Hope Church of God In Christ in Fort Valley, Georgia where he was Ordained as a Deacon.

2 Sons: Kenneth L. Kendrick and Solomon Kendrick III.
3 Sisters: Fannie Kendrick, Alma Kendrick and Thelma Horne.
1 Brother: James Kendrick(Catherine).
3 Grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, August 11, 2007 at 1PM in the Sanctuary of Shiloh Baptist Church in Fort Valley, Georgia.
