Lauretta Emma Klawitter was born September 8, 1889, the daughter of Frank and Almeda Tracy, at Beaver City, Nebraska. She passed away February 26, 1965, at Fremont, California, after an extended illness.

She spent most of her childhood near Nelson, Nebraska, where she met her husband, Adolf Klawitter, to whom she was married on June 3, 1911. To this union nine children were born: Mrs. Charles Holmes (Goldie) of Nelson, Nebraska; Mrs. Harold Welcher (Erma), Wapakoneta, Ohio; Raymond Klawitter, Rupert, Idaho; Mrs. Larry Booker (Gertrude), Lima Ohio; Leon Klawitter, Bend, Oregon; Mrs. Wilma Bledsoe, Orange, California; Mrs. James Harding (Helen), Fremont, California; LaVern Klawitter, Wapakoneta, Ohio; and Beaulah, who died in infancy.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Buhl, Idaho and was preceded in death by her husband on January 14, 1936.

She is survived by eight children, twenty grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, two brothers;: Elbert Tracy of Mitchell, Nebraska, and Harry Tracy of Gooding, Idaho and one sister, Mrs. Clyde Bartlett (Cora) of Doniphan, Nebraska as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Her father and mother and a brother George Tracy and a sister Faye McDaniels preceeded (sic) her in death.

Funeral services were held at the Klawitter Funeral home on March2, 1965 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Peter Vanderveen officiating.

Interment was in the Nelson Cemetery.
