Delois Gales, daughter of the late Curtis Eskew and Eva Martin Eskew, was born on October 23, 1932 in Bloomfield, Missouri, and departed this life on September 30, 2020 at Cypress Point Skilled Nursing in Dexter, Missouri, at the age of 87 years.

Mrs. Gales was a former employee of Dexter Memorial Hospital and Central Gardens, working as a licensed practical nurse. She was a member of Risen Church in Dexter.

On November 26, 1959, in Dexter, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Vernon Gales. Mr. Gales preceded her in death on August 29, 1994

She is survived by her son, Danny Gales of Dexter; by her daughter, Debbie Whitehead and husband Tim of Dexter; by her brother, Butch Eskew of Bloomfield; by her sister, Rita DePriest of Kennett; by two grandchildren, Matthew Whitehead and Heather Dunning and husband Dustin; and by two great-grandchildren, Aiden Sanders and Ellie Dunning.

Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale Eskew and Dean Eskew; and by two sisters, Pauline Griffy and Jo Ann Pettibone.

Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, October 4, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Chapel on Monday, October 5, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Jeff Roth officiating. Interment will follow in Chalk Bluff Cemetery in Dexter.
