Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Carter Stinson, age 73, will be held at 3:33 pm, Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA. Interment will follow in Cotton Valley Cemetery, Cotton Valley, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 30, 2020, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Bailey Funeral Home.

Mrs. Stinson was born on September 21, 1947 to Dan Brice and Alto Mae Baird-Carter in Springhill, LA and passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2020 in Springhill, LA. She was a writer, enjoyed sewing and was a multifaceted person who had a personality that could light up a room. She was a phenomenal and adoring wife, mother, and grandmother and was an amazing person who never met a stranger. She will be missed by all who knew and dearly loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Stinson-Crook of Springhill, LA; son, Rodney Stinson of Springhill, LA; grandson, Sean Otto Hall of Cullen, LA; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, whom she loved dearly.

Mrs. Stinson was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years Earl Otto Stinson, her parents; son, Kenton "Kyle" Stinson; sisters, Ella Mae Carter-Ketchum, Katie Sue Carter-Shepherd, and brothers John D. and Mack Carter.
