Harry was born November 13, 1933 in Flint, Michigan to the late Bernard and Erma (Findlay) McMahan. He grew up in the Mt. Morris and Clio area. Harry graduated from Mt. Morris High School with the class of 1952. On May 30, 1953 he married the love of his life Marlene Briggs. Prior to his retirement in 1982, Harry worked for GM at the Buick – Chevy Plant and the GM Parts plant with 30 years of service. He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church and was an Associate Pastor at Mt. Morris Chapel. Harry started working at the age of 10 at the Ernie Dodge Farm. He was an entrepreneur and owned Harry's Carpet Cleaning. He was a man of strong faith, enjoyed the scripture of Genesis 5:24, and was a great story teller. Harry and his wife were snowbirds, traveling to Florida in the winters for several years. He was a great friend, a loving husband, and a wonderful father. Harry loved his desserts.
Surviving are: Wife of 68 years, Marlene McMahan; Children, Janet Wood, Terry Derus, Tim (Laura) McMahan, Kelly (Brian) Currie, Karol (Andy) Marchig; Grandchildren, Chad (Rachel) Peters, Jamie (Kim) Peters, Bret Currie, David (Robin) McMahan, Lydia (Darrel) Heine, Kimberly (Bobby) Brooks, Kurtis (Lauhnna) McMahan, Kristen (Rich) Charvat, Caleb (Sheri) Marchig; 23 Great Grandchildren and one on the way; 1 Great-Great Grandchild; Sister, Lynn McMahan; Brother in law, Jack (Janice) Briggs; sister in laws, Joan Harrington, Glenda Kirt.
