Obituary of Owen KIM

Owen Kim, age 20 of Beavercreek, Ohio passed away on June 18th, 2022. Owen was born on January 29th, 2002 in Seoul, South Korea and was adopted at the age of 5 months by his forever family. He was a member of Beavercreek High School class of 2020 where he participated in the sports medicine program. Following graduation, he attended Sinclair Community College and obtained his certifications as an EMT, paramedic, and firefighter. He made many friends with his coworkers at Kettering Health Transportation Services and Barney's True Value Hardware.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Dorothy and Albert Brand. He is survived by his parents, Nancy and Gene Kim, and his siblings Emily (Tuscan), Julia, and Henry. He will be dearly missed by his godparents, Maria and Peter Madruga, and his partner Morgan Gilstrap.

Funeral services will be held at Peace Lutheran Church at 3530 Dayton Xenia Rd, Beavercreek, OH on Friday, June 24th. The family will receive loved ones from 10am-12pm, followed by a service at 12pm. All are welcome to attend a luncheon after the service. Donations to the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Ohio are appreciated (namiohio.org).
