Elvie Brumley, 71, widow of Joe Brumley, passed away July 7, 2011. She was born July 25, 1939, in Clay County to the late Corbin and Subrina Ritchie Wooten.

She was a member of House of Prayer.

She is survived by six children, Betty Ann Brumley of Georgetown, Loretta Centers of Frankfort, Lorene Warren of Georgetown, Ronnie Joe Brumley of Stamping Ground, Vickie Clark of Stamping Ground, and Randy Brumley of Georgetown; 20 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren; brother Danny Wooten of Hamilton, Ohio; sisters Maxine Ross, Camzie Eversole, and Ora Hollen, all of Manchester, and Norma Baker of Calvin.

She was preceded in death by two children, Ricky Brumley and Willie Jean Brumley; and three sisters, Zola Stewart, Annie Henson, and Mae Brumley.

Her funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Ted Eversole officiating. Burial will be in Caney Fork Baptist Church Cemetery with pallbearers being her grandsons.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
