Michele passed away on Thursday, her third day on palliative care after suffering a second collapsed lung. David, her husband, is occupying a room at Richard Benipayo's house near Russian Jack Park, and has a car to get around. David's daughter, Stephanie, returned to her home in Portugal last Tuesday but has stayed in touch via WhatsAp. Michele's father (who Michele and David moved to Fairbanks to tend to) passed away yesterday. So Michele's sisters, who flew to Fairbanks to take over for Michele and David, are dealing with affairs there, including supporting their mother who has early dementia.
A beautiful soul left this world yesterday and winged her way to God. Michele Cosby (Michelle Gregory) travelled lightly on the earth with gentleness, love, radiance, service and faith. I can't think of many people I would describe as ethereal, but the word describes Michelle very well.
Michelle was an artist in her heart and soul.
Death is a messenger of joy, and I am certain she flew joyously to the next world like a bird set free from its cage. However, it is difficult for those loved ones left behind.
