Mrs. Alice M. Troxell, 82, 1159 Roseland Road, Cambria County, Coalport R.D. died late Sunday morning May 30, 1999 at Centre Community Hospital, State College. She was born Jan. 10, 1917 in VanOmer, the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary C. (Simmers) Hughes. She married Charles H. Troxell Dec. 21, 1931 in Cumberland, Md. He died Aug. 2, 1976. Mrs. Troxell was a member of Roseland Christian Fellowship. Surviving are two daughters; Ruth M. Kruis of Roseland and Donna H. Wilkinson of Dysart; a son Robert A. of Roseland and a sister Isabelle Fetterman of Commodore; a brother, Glenn of Needmore; 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Wilmer and an infant son. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at McQuown Funeral Home, Glasgow and from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Roseland Christian Fellowship.
TROXELL – Funeral services for Alice M. Troxell will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Roseland Christian Fellowship, Roseland with Pastor Jon Hommer officiating. Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Glasgow. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the church. Mrs. Troxell attended church in Roseland for 73 years. She was also preceded in death by three brothers; Franklin, Everett and Carey and a sister Annie Lou Miller.
