Born Oct. 29, 1923 in Blossom, Texas, he was the son of Sid and Lyda Dove. Jurlee was a retired Marble Mason with the White Marble Company of Houston. He had served in the U.S. Army during World War II and married Imogene Baker Dove in 1970. Jurless was of the Baptist faith and member of the VFW and Local 20 Marble and Mason Union.
Survivors include his wife, Imogene Dove of Carthage; son, Terry Dove of Carthage; daughters, Angela Lopez of Woodlands, and Renee Pendley, of Avinger; brother, Arnold Dove of Paris, Texas; sister, May Evans of Edward, Okla.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
