Robert S. Fausset, son of Jacob V. Fausset and Lavinia Clarkson Fausset, married Rebecca Aldridge 3 Aug 1856 in Hamilton County, Indiana. Robert Fausset served in the Union army, Indiana Cavalry with the 8th Regiment and probably had a pension. Many of the Faussets moved to Kansas after Jacob died in 1867. Jacob's widow Lavinia and their sons Richard, J.V., and Robert can be found in Kansas censuses.

He died before 1880 when Rebecca is listed as a widow on the census. She remarried before the 1885 census to Ferguson Chitty, and no further record is found of her.
