Funeral services for Theo Moreau, 85 were held Friday, February 9, 11 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, in Elton.
The Reverend Michael Barras officiated.
Burial was at St. Augustine Cemetery in Basile, under the direction of Ardoin's Funeral Home.
Mr. Moreau died Thursday, February 8, at 3:40 a.m. in Savoy Memorial Hospital, after a long illness.
A native of Elton, Mr. Moreau was a retired carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eva LaFleur Moreau of Elton; four sons, Mr. L. J. Moreau of Central Falls, Rhode Island; Mr. Theo Moreau, Jr. of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; Mr. Robert (Bob) Moreau of Lake Charles; Mr. Kenneth Moreau of Mamou; one step-son, Mr. Harry Fontenot of Sulphur; three daughters, Mrs. McKinley (Bea) Fontenot of Mamou; Mrs. Jerry (Dot) LeBlanc of Sulphur; Mrs. Herman (Helena) Leger of Ville Platte; four step daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Duplichan of Elton; Mrs. Joyce LaFleur of Denhan Springs; Mrs. Jannell Byrd of Oakdale; Mrs. Gerri Myers of Iowa; one brother Mr. Mayouse Moreau of Basile; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Lloyd of Basile; Mrs. Louis E. (Ana) Jocob of Eunice; 43 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren.
