Beulah Catherine (Hartman) Snider passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, in her home. She was born on Dec 22, 1928, to Jacob and Esther (Diller) Hartman. On June 29, 1958, she married Jonas Clare Snider and he survives in Delphos. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this year.

She is also survived by her three children, Anita Snider of Lima, Kelvin Snider of Mechanicsburg, Twila (Bradley) Maust of Grantsville, MD; and a sister-in-law, Norma Plank of Elida.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings and in-laws, Melvin (Mabel) Snider, Marion Hartman, Bertha (Albert) Slabach, and Wilmer (Lois Ann) Hartman.

She graduated from Elida High School in 1947 and worked at her father's meat locker in Elida. She accepted Christ as Savior in her youth, and served faithfully at Bethel Mennonite Church (Delphos, OH) and at Pike Mennonite Church (Elida, OH) where she was a member at the time of her death. She served as President or Vice-president of the church sewing circle for many years. She was skilled at piecing together comforters for the needy. She also volunteered at the Et Cetera Shop in Bluffton.

Beulah was locally known for her Christmas fruitcakes and seasonal candies which she sold out of her home and at craft shows. Her recipe is still being used by her great-niece. She also enjoyed traveling, planting flowers, gardening, puzzles & word games.

We want to thank Pike Mennonite Church for their help the past few years, the private caregivers whose caregiving enabled her to live out her days in her own home, and Interim Hospice for end of life care.

Funeral arrangements are as follows: Viewing will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 3-5 pm at Pike Mennonite Church in Elida, OH. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 13, at 3:00 pm at Pike Mennonite Church with viewing one hour before the service. Burial will be held in the church cemetery immediately following the service.

Memorial contributions can be made to Interim Hospice or Pike Mennonite Church.
