Minnie "Mamaw" Jennings, 91, of Asheville, died Tuesday, May 25, 2004, at her home.

She was born in McGoffin County, Ky., the daughter of the late Lola Cooper and Blaine Collinsworth. She and her husband, the late Jim Jennings, were the founders and owners of the Hot Shot Cafe in Biltmore until her retirement in 1976. She was a member of the Biltmore Holiness Temple and was currently attending the Victory Fellowship Church of God. She looked forward to the time she spent at the Care Partners Mountain Care facility.

She is survived by five grandchildren, Richard "Paul" Jennings, Annette Jennings, Rita Jennings and Gina Hollifield, all of Asheville, and Brenda Griffin of Lyman, S.C.; five great-grandchildren, Brandon Jennings, Shannon Loper, Joshua Griffin, Evie Jennings and Jason Hollifield; and two great-great-grandchildren, Shyne Loper and Lilly Ledford.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law, Dick and Virginia Jennings and two brothers and three sisters.

The funeral service will be held in Williams Funeral Service Chapel with Pastors John Powers and Sonia Burleson officiating. Interment will follow in Green Hills Cemetery.
