On the Bulloch Co marriage record, she is listed as America A Knight. They had one daughter, Mary Jane McElveen, born in 1859.
On the 1860 census she, John and two daughters are in the home. He died in 1860 or 1861. His tombstone death of 1858 is incorrect.

She is not buried with him in the family cemetery. If she died at her daughter's home, they may have had trouble getting her to the family cemetery in time. hot days, no embalming, swollen creeks etc
